The Cottages situated on a Working Farm, in a converted stone faced
barn
restored to preserve its unique character while offering all the
comforts
of
modern living. The barn was built in c.1890 and restored
in 2001. They enjoy
a rural setting on a dry-stock farm overlooking
the 27 hole Black Bush
Golf
Club.
The Cottages are
4* Irish Tourist Board Approved, with Colour T.V., D.V.D., C.D. Player,
Electric Heating, Open Fire, Dishwasher, Washer/Dryer, Micro-Wave and
Hairdryer. Each cottage sleeps 4 people comfortably. A Welcome pack greets
you on arrival which includes ;
Fresh Home Baking, Tea & Coffee, Milk, Sugar, Jam & Butter. A basket of
Turf and Firelighters are provided also. Each cottage is supplied with
Toiletries.
Guests are welcome to pick their own fruit and vegetables, when in season
and available, free of charge from the family garden and glasshouse.
Free range Hen and Duck eggs available for Guests also.
Linen and Towels are supplied free of charge.
The cottages are owner supervised and are located within the grounds of
Gaulstown House, which is an elegant early 19th century farmhouse. Guests
are welcome to reserve Dinner or Full Irish Breakfast in the Farmhouse
subject to 24 hours notice and availability – minimum four persons.
Gaulstown House and Farm is a former Agri-tourism Award winner and Family
Home of the Year Award.
